Whether you operate a small home business, take care of a relative's child or work in a large child care center, we have something to offer you. A selection of courses include: child development, caring for infants and toddlers, developing learning tools and teaching resources, planning learning activities for kids, working with children who have special needs, job duties of a child care administrator, and CPR and First Aid. Participants can also earn continued education units (CEUs) or a use training toward achieving the Child Development Associate (CDA) credential. Classes are offered and fees vary depending on the length of the class and grant funding. Classes are held at our Bloomfield Hills office as well as online.

Did you know?
The CDA Credential is nationally recognized in all 50 states. More Early Childhood Programs are requiring a minimum of a CDA for hiring employees.
The CDA shows that as a life long learner you value continuing education to benefit yourself and the families you serve.
Members can acquire the knowledge and leadership skills by being a part of an active coalition and a network of individuals and organizations working to improve the quality of life for children, youth, and families in Oakland County.
The Oakland County Child Care Council works to strengthen and support children and families by advocating, coordinating, and developing quality child care and related resources, and the work is vital.
